#029; DC9 is where it’s at (8/20 8:30pm!)
One of the things that I love the most about our fair District is how on any given day you can discover something new. A few months (after years here) I was introduced to our local music scene. As someone with strong ties to Boston, Havana, and NYC, I’m not joking when I say that the indie scene here blew me away. There are venues that simply must be checked out, acts that you just have to follow, and three or four events to check out every night of the week.
Today, I bring you information on what you must check out tomorrow night (8/20, 8:30PM @ DC9 – 9th and U st. NW). They’ve been written up by the awesome folks at Metro Music Scene and certainly deserve the praise, but this is your chance to come check it out yourself!
If you want a night of great local music (Idea Track and Alex Parez – @alextheredparez on twitter, follow him! – are opening for Bonjour, Ganesh) at one of the best local scene venues in the city, come check it out this Thursday. Below are videos and the venue info, so there are no excuses! And hey, myself – @atlimbo – and @dcfisch will be there to ensure an amazing time! Who could pass that up?
